Horseback Riding

Seeing Oregon's Mt. Hood Territory by horseback can be a great family activity.

Riders up! Explore the Territory from the back of a horse - If you are traveling with your horse, you will find great riding trails along the Molalla River Recreation Corridor and in the Mt. Hood National Forest. Adaptive Riding Institute in Scotts Mills has trail horses specially trained to accommodate handicapped riders. For something different in winter, horse-drawn sleigh rides are available at Mt. Hood Skibowl. If you are into traveling and camping with your own horses, the Joe Graham Horse Camp near Timothy Lake is an ideal campground with corrals and hitching posts.
