If so, summer is the time to change all that. We're bullish on the Molalla Brewfest, which gets the season off to a rip snorting start. Blues Diva Rae Gordon opens the stage Friday night and the popular group "Crush" closes the place down Saturday at midnight. In between there's plenty of time for handcrafted suds from the taps of personal fave Fearless Brewing, Oregon heavy-hitter Ninkasi and a barrel full of other regional brewers. You'll want to tap into a tasting package for the full flavor experience. (June 10 - 12) The following weekend, the East Willamette Valley Wine Fest uncorks 50 miles of vines all in one location. Twelve artisan vintners serve up hard-to-find wines along with the chance to meet the winemakers. Get all decked out for the Friday Winemaker's Gala Evening. (June 17-18) Creativity takes shape at Lake Oswego Festival of the Arts, a 3-day affair featuring a Juried Fine Arts Craft Faire for this year's "Language of Sculpture" event. This signature festival boasts over 120 booths and a variety of musical entertainment. The wine and beer tent are a hit with the grown-ups and the children's theatre and dedicated Kids Day are a smash with the younger set. (June 24-26)

Lavender Days & Oregon Lavender Festival herald the sweetest scents of summer, with dozens of varieties of locally grown lavender plants and gifts for sale. Enjoy lavender crafts and refreshments as you tour the different gardens. (June 22-July 10, Wednesdays-Sundays) Find maps that outline routes to all participating growers in the July 9-10 festival at Oregon Lavender Destinations.

From the Molalla Buckeroo kickoff party on June 25 to the final fireworks of the Northwest's best rodeo on July 4, no festival shines brighter than the Buckeroo. Come for dramatic daredevils on horseback or the down-home dancing. The Buckeroo has earned their silver buckle with almost a century of festival-making expertise. (June 25-July 4) Holy Wow!
